Meri Biwi Ka Husband Movie Review

A potential subject but mediocre execution

A Delhi professional finds himself in a complicated love triangle. His old flame returns to his life just as he begins falling for someone new. This leads to a series of comedic misunderstandings.

The story is unique and could have taken some amazing turns but it doesn’t. Let’s get the cat out of the bag first. This is a comedy film but the comedy does not work. Some scenes did make me laugh but that’s just 1-2 scenes max. The majority of the scenes just donot work. The screenplay could have been a lot better but its like a Jenga set. If one thing falls, everything else starts to fall along with it.

I feel bad for Arjun Kapoor. He has shown a lot of potential of being a good actor in another forgetful cop thriller Singham Returns. However, it looks like he is getting the short end of the stick.

The biggest drawback of the film is when Prableen goes to Scotland with the entire marriage group. She is invited to her ex-husband’s wedding. This happens despite the doctor’s warning to not encourage anything traumatic. This clearly shows how the screenplay could have been written in a better way. Things like these defy logic and that’s where audiences started to loose interest in the film. The climax also does not stick as the screenplay does not do enough to sit till the climax. There were moments when I felt like things could have been so much more better if it was just written well.

Coming to the visuals, this has to be the only highlight of the film. The visuals look smooth and the color grade compliments the visuals perfectly

This film could have been saved with great acting but does not look like it. The film quickly looses steam in the first 10 minutes and the lack of good acting is very clear on screen.

Verdict: This is a time pass film who donot want to take anything seriously and just go spend 2 hrs in the theatre. But is this a theatre watch? Definitely no
